Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center names VP of operations: 4 things to know

Thomas Burke has been named vice president of operations at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Burke.

1. As vice president of operations, he will oversee clinical and operational support services for the hospital including environmental services, laundry, food and nutrition services, radiology, laboratory and pathology, patient transport and mailroom.

2. Prior to joining Saint Francis, he was a hospital system vice president for financial operations at Prospect Medical Holdings in Los Angeles, and was based in Providence, R.I.

3. He was also previously vice president of operations at Waterbury (Conn.) Hospital.

4. Mr. Burke earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and a master's degree in business administration at Saint Joseph's University, also in Philadelphia.
