Fall River, Mass.-based Saint Anne's Hospital promoted Carole A. Billington, RN, MSN, to the COO position. Ms. Billington currently serves as vice president of patient care services and CNO. She will now take on the dual role of COO/CNO.
Ms. Billington started working at the hospital as a staff nurse in 1984. She has served in numerous roles since then, including as patient care director of peri-anesthesia services and administrative director of clinical operations. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Ms. Billington earned her master of science in nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. She also currently serves on the university's college of nursing advisory board.
