Lauren Smith, MSN, RN, has been selected to serve as chief nursing officer for both Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, and Saint Alphonsus Health System, which includes hospitals in Idaho and Oregon.
Ms. Smith will take on the new role June 26, according to a June 20 news release. She has more than 23 years of experience in critical care, performance and process improvement, risk management and clinical operations. She had been serving as executive director of nursing for Saint Alphonsus Medical Group since August.
Ms. Smith joined Saint Alphonsus from Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's Health System, where she worked as orthopedic director of practice and programs as well as in other roles.
Saint Alphonsus Health System is part of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health.
