Victor Almeida, DO, has been selected to be the next chief medical officer at RWJBarnabas Health's Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood, N.J.
Prior to this, Dr. Almeida served as the regional chairman of emergency medicine for the hospital as well as Monmouth Medical Center, another RWJBarnabas facility in Longbranch, N.J., according to a Dec. 28 news release.
As chief medical officer, Dr. Almeida will provide medical oversight, expertise and be responsible for clinical direction at the hospital.
His appointment to the role is effective immediately.
