Gadsden, Ala.-based Riverview Regional Medical Center CEO David Fuller has stepped down, The Gadsden Times reports.
Mr. Fuller resigned to "pursue other opportunities," a press release from Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare notes, according to The Gadsden Times. He served at the helm of the hospital since December 2015. Prior to that, he was CEO of North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Fla.
James P. Davis, BSN, MSN, will succeed Mr. Fuller as CEO of the hospital, effective July 10. Mr. Davis currently works at investment banking company Chiron Financial, where he is director of the healthcare practice. His previous roles include serving as director of clinical services for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Health System; director of business development and associate administrator of the Dallas market for Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare; and CEO of Forest Park Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mr. Davis has also served in the U.S. Navy. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
