Preston Simmons has been named CEO of Everett-based Providence Northwest Washington, effective immediately, according to a report by The Herald Business Journal.
Mr. Simmons was previously COO of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (Wash.), and has been serving as interim CEO since December, according to the report. He is replacing Dave Brooks, who left for the top spot at Detroit's St. John Hospital and Medical Center.
In his new role, Mr. Simmons will oversee Providence Regional Medical Center Everett as well as serve on the executive team that oversees the affiliation between Providence and Swedish Health Services, according to the report.
