Anchorage-based Providence Health & Services Alaska tapped Michael Bernstein, MD, to serve as CMO, effective Nov. 12.
Here are three points:
1. Dr. Bernstein previously worked at Renton, Wash.-based Providence St. Joseph Health, where he most recently served as CMO of Providence Medical Foundations and president of Providence Specialty Medical Group in the Los Angeles region.
2. He has completed clinical fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at University of California, San Francisco.
3. Providence Health & Services Alaska, which includes four hospitals, is part of Providence St. Joseph Health.
