Proteus Digital Health, a digital medicines company based in Redwood City, Calif., has appointed three new executives.
Here are 11 things to know about the leaders.
Molly O'Neill was named chief commercial officer.
1. As chief commercial officer, Ms. O'Neill will lead partnerships with major health systems, payers and key provider customers across the country.
2. She has more than three decades of experience in developing growth strategies to increase market share and revenues of academic, nonprofit and investor owned healthcare institutions.
3. Previously, Ms. O'Neill was senior vice president of business development with Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare.
Jonathan Symonds was appointed board chairman.
4. Mr. Symonds has served on the Proteus Board of Directors since June 2014 and will continue advising the company on strategy, financial management and corporate governance.
5. He is chairman of HSBC Bank, chairman of the supervisory board of Innocoll AG, a specialty pharmaceutical company, and non-executive director of Genomics England.
6. Previously, he was CFO of Novartis, a multinational pharmaceutical company, partner and managing director of Goldman Sachs, a global investment banking, securities and investment management firm, and CFO of AstraZeneca, a British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical and biologics company.
Shumeet Banerji, PhD, was appointed to the company's board of directors.
7. In his role, Dr. Banerji will provide oversight on Proteus' corporate strategy and operational performance, among other topics.
8. He currently serves on the board of HP and Innocoll AG.
9. Dr. Banerji is founder and partner of Condorcet, an investment and advisory firm.
10. He retired from Booz & Company two years ago, having served as its founding CEO.
11. Previously, he held leadership roles at Booz, Allen & Hamilton in India, the U.K., Europe and globally, where he advised public and private sector entities at the board level, officials said.
