Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala., named Paula Davenport chief nursing officer, effective June 18.
Ms. Davenport recently served as interim CNO and also as an executive director of nursing since 2009. She is an active member in the Alabama Organization of Nurse Executives and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses and is currently an executive officer of the Birmingham Regional Organization of Nurse Leaders.
"[Paula] is a highly skilled professional who has been an outstanding member of the Princeton team for many years. Her nursing expertise and leadership, combined with her knowledge of Princeton Baptist, its physicians and staff, make her an excellent choice as the hospital's new CNO," said Baptist President Betsy Postlethwait in a news release.
