Mary Ann Barnes, president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plans and Hospitals Hawaii, will retire in September, according Pacific Business Journal.
Ms. Barnes has worked for Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser for 43 years, serving in her most recent role for three years. She started as a nurse in the intensive care unit in San Diego and held top leadership positions at several Kaiser hospitals in California before going to Hawaii in 2014.
Bill Caswell, COO and senior vice president for Kaiser Permanente Southern California, will serve as interim president after Ms. Barnes retires.
