Poinciana (Fla.) Medical Center appointed Christopher Cosby CEO, effective May 15. The medical center is a part of Hospital Corporation of America's North Florida in Tallahassee.
Most recently, Mr. Cosby served as COO of Doctors Hospital of Augusta (Ga.), another HCA facility. He succeeds Joanna Conley at Poinciana Medical Center, who is leaving to take on the CEO role at HCA's TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Mr. Cosby holds a master of science degree in health administration and an MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
"During his tenure with HCA, Chris has proven himself as a focused, dedicated leader, spearheading numerous growth initiatives and motivating staff to deliver on our mission of quality, compassionate healthcare," said Michael P. Joyce, president of HCA's North Florida Division.
