Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System has selected Paula Autry to serve as president and CEO of Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, Mich., effective July 15.
Six things to know:
1. Ms. Autry previously served as CEO of Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
2. She was slated to take on the CEO role at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne in April, but decided against it, instead taking on a project CEO role with Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
3. Before joining Lutheran Hospital in 2017, she was CEO of Detroit Medical Center's Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit.
4. She is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on the American Hospital Association's policy board.
5. Ms. Autry holds an MBA and a master's degree in healthcare administration from Tulane University in New Orleans.
6. She succeeds Georgia Fojtasek as leader of Henry Ford Allegiance Health. Ms. Fojtasek is retiring.
