Pamela Scagliarini has been named COO of Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital and senior vice president of Yale New Haven Health System in New Haven, Conn., according to a New Haven Register report.
Here are five things to know about Ms. Scagliarini.
1. Ms. Scagliarini is replacing Norman G. Roth, who was recently named president of Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital and executive vice president of YNHHS.
2. Ms. Scagliarini has been with YNHHS for more than two decades.
3. Ms. Scagliarini started as a contract coordinator in the purchasing department at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, advancing to vice president of the system's supply chain management division, and joined Bridgeport Hospital last September as interim senior vice president of operations.
4. "She has excelled in all facets of her role," William M. Jennings, president and CEO of Bridgeport Hospital and executive vice president of YNHHS, said in a news release, according to the report. "Her resolute work ethic and solid personal values reflect those of our health system."
5. Ms. Scagliarini earned a bachelor's degree in procurement and materials management/operations management from the Bowling Green University in Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from the University of New Haven.
