Orlando Health picks 3 new senior VPs: 14 things to know

Orlando (Fla.) Health has added three new senior vice presidents, effective this month.

Here are 14 things to know about the leaders.

R. Erick Hawkins is the new senior vice president of strategic management.

1. Most recently, Mr. Hawkins was CFO and vice president of heart and vascular services at University of North Carolina REX Healthcare in Raleigh.

2. During his tenure at REX, he was responsible for the organization's strategic innovations.

3. Mr. Hawkins was also previously president of the board of directors for Hospice of Wake County, a member of the executive leadership team for the American Heart Association's Triangle Heart Ball and a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Triangle Light the Night Walk's executive leadership council.

4. He earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University in New Haven, Conn., and a master's degree in business administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business in Durham, N.C.

Greg Ohe is the new senior vice president of ambulatory.

5. Mr. Ohe will transition to his new role over the next few weeks.

6. He is currently president of Orlando Health's Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.

7. He also oversees Health Central Hospital Park, a long-term care and rehabilitation facility, Express Care, an urgent care walk-in clinic, and a surgery center, according to a news release.

8. Previously, Mr. Ohe was a member of community advisory committee for the health services administration program at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

9. He has been a mentor for young professionals associated with the University of Central Florida and Xavier University, based in Cincinnati.

10. Mr. Ohe earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University.

Andrew Snyder is the new senior vice president of marketing and communications.

11. Most recently, Mr. Snyder was vice president and chief marketing officer for Arlington Heights, Ill.-based AMITA Health.

12. During his tenure at AMITA Health, he oversaw all aspects of marketing, brand management and web/social media strategy, according to a news release.

13. Mr. Snyder frequently presents at industry events and universities such as the Harvard/Chan School of Public Health, Loyola University, the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development and the Forum for Healthcare Strategies.

14. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Ind.
