Ohio health system splits CEO role

Canton, Ohio-based Aultman Health Foundation has restructured the leadership of Aultman Healthcare Delivery System, splitting the role held by Chris Remark, according to a report by CantonRep.com.

Mr. Remark, who has been CEO of both the health system and Aultman Hospital in Canton, will now serve only as CEO of the system. The system includes three hospitals, a medical group, post-acute care services and other facilities. Tony Snyder will take over as CEO of Aultman Hospital.

Mr. Remark joined the organization in 1993 as a financial analyst. He told CantonRep.com that splitting the leadership role that he occupied, overseeing the healthcare delivery system and the hospital, had been under consideration for some time, as each entity required individual attention. As CEO of the system, Mr. Remark will continue to report to Edward J. Roth III, president and CEO of Aultman Health Foundation.

Mr. Snyder has worked at Aultman for 37 years. Most recently, he was on loan to Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, Ohio, where he was CEO.
