Oconee Regional Medical Center in Milledgeville, Ga., has chosen Randall "Randy" Hoover as the hospital's new interim CEO, according to The Telegraph.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Hoover.
1. Mr. Hoover will begin his job Monday.
2. Mr. Hoover has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration in both for-profit and nonprofit hospitals and systems. He has served as CEO of hospitals ranging from 28 to 750 beds in Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.
3. Mr. Hoover will be Oconee Regional's second interim CEO since June 1. In May, Oconee Regional CEO Jean Aycock notified the hospital board that she was resigning. Shortly after that, the hospital appointed acting CEO — and its long-standing CFO — Brenda Qualls as interim CEO.
4. Mr. Hoover begins his new position as Oconee Regional continues a financial turnaround. He previously headed up a turnaround as CEO of Baptist Health in Montgomery, Ala.
