New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System has announced three leadership changes.
Here are seven things to know about the three leaders.
Randy Peak joined Ochsner Health System as the new system vice president and general counsel.
1. Mr. Peak has more than 21 years of leadership expertise in delivering strategic business-oriented legal counsel, representation and transactional support in a diverse set of industries and market sectors including: nonprofit healthcare, global retail, telecommunications, commercial real estate transactions, finance and manufacturing, according to Ochsner.
2. Mr. Peak served most recently as the vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary for Irving, Texas-based VHA, a national network of nonprofit healthcare organizations.
Tracey Moffatt, RN, will assume the role of system CNO and vice president of quality.
3. In her role, Ms. Moffatt will be leading the system quality initiatives alongside Chief Quality Officer Richard Guthrie, MD.
4. Ms. Moffatt also will provide guidance for nursing leaders across the system "to continue to advance quality, nursing professional practice, safety and initiatives to make care affordable," according to Ochsner.
5. Ms. Moffatt previously served as executive vice president and COO at Kingsport, Tenn.-based Wellmont Health System.
Dawn Pevey-Mauk, RN, current CNO and COO of the Ochsner Baton Rouge region, has been promoted to system vice president of service lines.
6. As system vice president of service lines, Ms. Pevey-Mauk will oversee the following service lines: cancer, cardiology, lab, radiology, women's services, primary care, post acute care, hospital medicine, emergency services and anesthesia and pain management.
7. Ms. Pevey-Mauk was recognized last year in the Business Report's "Forty under 40." Her other recognition includes the Ochsner Health System President's Award, Ochsner CNO of the Year and recognition from the Johnson & Johnson Nursing Campaign for outstanding dedication during Hurricane Katrina.
