Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health selected Frank E. Emory Jr., to serve as executive vice president and chief legal officer.
Here are four things to know:
1. Mr. Emory was previously a partner with law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, where he served as co-head of the litigation and labor group and managing partner of the Charlotte, N.C., office.
2. He is also chairman of the board of the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, a gubernatorial appointment by Gov. Roy Cooper.
3. He formerly served as president of the Mecklenburg County Bar and spent eight years on the North Carolina Board of Transportation.
4. Mr. Emory has won numerous accolades over his career, including the 2010 Citizen Lawyer of the Year Award from the North Carolina Bar Association.
