New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health named Michele Cusack senior vice president and CFO and Richard Miller executive vice president and chief business strategy officer.
Ms. Cusack has served as senior vice president of finance and deputy CFO since last year. She joined the health system in 1996 and serves as an administrator on the Northwell Board of Trustees' finance and audit committees. In her new role, she will oversee financial reporting, financial planning, budgeting, treasury services and internal auditing system-wide.
Mr. Miller came to Northwell in 2008 from New York City-based NYU Hospitals Center, where was CFO. He most recently served as senior vice president and deputy CFO of business strategy at Northwell. He chairs the Northwell Health Plans Holding Company, which he will continue to do in addition to his new role. As chief business strategy officer, Mr. Miller will be responsible for revenue optimization, financial strategies and commercial investments.
Ms. Cusack and Mr. Miller succeed CFO Bob Shapiro, who is retiring after 17 years in the position.
