Jeffrey Hillebrand, COO of Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem, is retiring from his position to launch a healthcare consulting firm, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.
Mr. Hillebrand, who held the COO post since 1996, said he intends to maintain ties with NorthShore and advise the system on mergers, acquisitions and integrations, according to the report.
Mr. Hillebrand will be replaced by J.P. Gallagher, the current president of NorthShore's Evanston Hospital. Doug Silverstein will move from his post as president of NorthShore's Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Ill., to replace Mr. Gallagher at Evanston. Sean O'Grady, senior vice president at Evanston Hospital, will take Mr. Silverstein's former position at the helm of Glenbrook.
