North Kansas City Hospital has announced the retirement of David Carpenter, president and CEO of the hospital.
Mr. Carpenter has served as the hospital's CEO since 1999. Prior to that, he served as an administrator for Scottsdale (Ariz.) Healthcare and was president of Hadley Regional Medical Center in Hays, Kan.
The board of trustees has named Peggy Schmitt as the new CEO of the hospital. She will assume this role beginning July 21. Mr. Carpenter will continue his employment with North Kansas City as an advisor to the board of trustees and Ms. Schmitt for the remainder of the year.
