North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas, has named Xavier Villarreal CEO.
Here are seven things to know about Mr. Villarreal.
1. He began his new role at North Hills Hospital, an affiliate of Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America, earlier in January.
2. He succeeds Randy Moresi, who retired.
3. He has 18 years of healthcare leadership experience.
4. Prior to joining North Hills Hospital, he worked at Irving, Texas-based CHRISTUS Health, where he most recently was vice president and COO of CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline and Memorial hospitals in Corpus Christi, Texas.
5. Previously, Mr. Villarreal was CEO of Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas, and COO of Abilene (Texas) Regional Medical Center.
6. He also previously worked for Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, Okla., for eight years during which he served as CEO of the Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau, and Fairfax (Okla.) Memorial Hospital.
7. Mr. Villarreal earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and a master's degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.
