Lisa Carter, RN, MSN, has been named CEO of Johnson City, Tenn.-based Niswonger Children's Hospital, part of Mountain States Health Alliance, also in Johnson City, according to The Greeneville Sun.
Here are four things to know about Ms. Carter.
1. She has been serving as interim CEO for Niswonger Children's Hospital since September.
2. Previously, she was vice president and CNO of Niswonger Children's Hospital and of Johnson City Medical Center.
3. She recently led the JCMC trauma department to successful state re-designation for level 1 services with commendations, according to The Greeneville Sun.
4. Ms. Carter earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Cookeville-based Tennessee Technological University and earned a master's degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City. She is currently enrolled in ETSU's nursing PhD program.
