Newton (Kan.) Medical Center tapped Heather Porter, BSN, ACM-RN, to serve as chief clinical officer, effective July 1.
Here are four notes:
1. Ms. Porter is the hospital's associate chief clinical officer for population management.
2. She has worked at the hospital since 2003, holding numerous leadership positions, including director of case management.
3. She serves on board of the Missouri-Kansas chapter of the American Case Management Association.
4. She succeeds Cindy Knoeppel, who is retiring.
