Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare has named Joanne Inman president of Sentara Leigh Hospital, also in Norfolk, effective July 11.
Here are four things to know about Ms. Inman.
1. She is currently vice president of operations at Sentara Virginia Beach (Va.) General Hospital.
2. Prior to her current position, she was director of patient care services at Sentara Leigh from 2005 through 2012.
3. At Sentara Healthcare, Ms. Inman led the Sentara Cancer Network's breast cancer program, which introduced the first 3-D Mammography technology in Hampton Roads, Va., officials said. She also served as chairwoman of the system's Behavioral Health Task Force, resulting in the opening of a 24-bed inpatient unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General.
4. In her new position, Ms. Inman replaces Terrie L. Edwards, who was promoted to corporate vice president for the Sentara Healthcare Peninsula and Western Tidewater regions and the system's Life Care and Enterprises divisions.
