Houston-based Neighbors Health, which operates 31 freestanding emergency centers in Texas and Rhode Island, has appointed Tensie Homan Axton as CFO.
Ms. Axton, a certified public accountant, has more than 25 years of finance, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and investor relations experience.
As the COO of Denver-based Pinnacle Medical Holdings, Ms. Axton helped develop and manage a multispecialty medical practice. She also previously served as the office managing partner of KPMG, where she played an important role in developing the transaction services practice at KPMG's offices in California and Colorado.

Neighbors plans to open new centers in Colorado and Tennessee in 2017.
