Mount Sinai hospital combines executive roles

Mount Sinai South Nassau, a 455-bed teaching hospital in Oceanside, N.Y., has promoted two healthcare administrators to additional roles. 

John Pohlman, the hospital's senior vice president and CFO, will assume the additional role of COO, according to an Aug. 29 news release shared with Becker's. Mr. Pohlman will oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital. He succeeds Bill Allison, who retired.

Ken Long, senior vice president for administration, will assume the additional role of chief clinical integration officer. Mr. Long will oversee service line strategic planning, program expansions, volume growth, and help with the hospital's ongoing integration with New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System. He joined Mount Sinai South Nassau in 2015. 

Mount Sinai South Nassau is the Long Island flagship hospital of Mount Sinai Health System.
