Fulton (Mo.) Medical Center has a new CEO and CFO, News Tribune reports.
Dale Farrell was selected as CFO and Donald Buchanan is at the helm.
Mr. Buchanan is replacing Mike Reece, who was fired in December after Kansas City, Mo.-based Noble Health Corp. assumed management of Fulton.
In 1980, Mr. Buchanan began his career as a hospital administrator, according to the News Tribune. He largely worked at rural Missouri hospitals until he retired in 2008. Later in his career, and after coming out of retirement, he ran a hospital billing service in Oklahoma. He also served as CEO of Haskell County Community Hospital in Stigler, Okla.— until ownership switched to an affiliate of EmpowerHMS, a hospital operator formerly based in Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. Farrell is the former CFO of Overland Park, Kan.-based Pinnacle Healthcare System. He served in that role until about a month ago, according to the News Tribune.
Toward the beginning of his healthcare career, Mr. Farrell consulted for a number of physician and medical groups, beginning in the 1990s. He served as CFO of Consultants in Gastroenterology, also in Kansas City, Mo., before joining Pinnacle in 2016.
