Mid-Columbia Medical Center CEO Duane Francis to retire in October

The Dalles, Ore.-based Mid-Columbia Medical Center's President and CEO Duane Francis is retiring, effective Oct. 31, according to The Dalles Chronicle.

Mr. Francis joined Mid-Columbia Medical Center in 1984 as controller, and he was named CFO 1987. He left the center to briefly serve as vice president of finance at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, Ore. He came back to MCMC in 1996 and the hospital named him president and CEO in 2002.

During his tenure, MCMC opening the Water's Edge Wellness and outpatient clinic and partnered with Oregon Health & Science University in 2014.

Mr. Francis told The Chronicle that he and his wife would be relocating to be closer to their family.
