Mark Davis, MD, has been named COO at Miami Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida.
Dr. Davis has more than 20 years of experience as a national and global healthcare leader and emergency medicine physician, an Aug. 11 news release said.
He is the former vice president of Brigham Health International, where he led academic collaborations between Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital and multiple international parties. He also served as the health system's executive director of business development and strategic initiatives.
"Since its opening in 2017, the Institute has grown to become one of the largest cancer programs in the state in terms of patient volume," Miami Cancer Institute CEO Michael Zinner, MD, said. "Dr. Davis has a deep commitment to clinical quality, patient safety and efficiency in the delivery of healthcare. We are excited to have someone with his expertise on board as we continue our phenomenal growth, offering new services and expanding our research programs, opening additional locations in South Florida and internationally, and developing and acquiring the latest technologies."
