Mark Fulco, president of Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., and its affiliates, has resigned, according to online news site MassLive.
Mr. Fulco assumed the role in 2017, prior to which he was system vice president for health ministries and system office communication interface at Trinity Health in Livonia, Mich.
He is also a former chief transformation officer at Mercy Medical Center and played a key role in establishing the Mercy Care Alliance clinically integrated network.
As president, he led Mercy Medical Center through jobs cuts and the closure of some services, including its hearing center.
David Bittner, a regional leader at Trinity Health of New England, will oversee Mercy Medical Center until a new leader is appointed.
