Scott Wolf, DO, president of Springfield, Mass.-based Mercy Medical Center and its affiliated services, is resigning, effective March 31, 2017. The medical center and its affiliated services are a part of Trinity Health-New England, a member of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health.
Dr. Wolf has served in his current role since January 2016, when he succeeded Daniel Moen, who left to serve as executive vice president and COO of Trinity Health-New England. An emailed hospital statement does not indicate the reason for Dr. Wolf's departure.
"All of us at Trinity Health-New England are grateful for Dr. Wolf's leadership, and thank him for his many contributions in support of our mission. We wish him well on his future endeavors. As our regional health ministry continues to evolve we will develop an interim leadership plan and ensure the necessary focus on our mission and patient care at Mercy Medical Center and its affiliated services."
Dr. Wolf joined Springfield-based Sisters of Providence Health System in 2010, where he served as senior vice president of medical affairs, CMO and COO for Mercy Medical Center and SPHS. In 2013, SPHS became a part of Trinity Health, according to a Mass Live report.
A fellow of the American College of Physicians, Dr. Wolf held numerous roles at Hartford (Conn.) Hospital in the past, including director of clinical operations for ambulatory medicine and associate program director of the internal medicine residency program.
