Las Cruces, N.M.-based Memorial Medical Center announced the promotion of Mary Armijo to COO. Her new role became effective Aug. 9.
Before her promotion, Ms. Armijo served as the organization's associate administrator for two years.
"We are so excited to congratulate Mary on this well-deserved promotion," John Harris, Memorial Medical Center's CEO, said in an Aug. 11 news release. "I have every confidence that Mary will continue to perform at a superlative level, achieve great things at our hospital and further Memorial's tradition of delivering safe and quality care to our community."
Ms. Armijo also worked for the organization's parent company, Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, for seven years, where she managed large programs and projects for the hospital support center, according to the announcement.
