Larry Tracy was named the new president of Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Ind. last week, according to the South Bend Tribune.
Prior to his role at MemorialHospital, Mr. Tracy worked for BJC Healthcare and served as president of both Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital and Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, Missouri.
Mr. Tracy worked as a logistics officer in the army after completing his undergraduate education. After watching his grandfather suffer from diabetes, he began exploring the nuances of the healthcare industry, particularly patient-centered care. His interest in the topic spurred a career change to healthcare administration.
