Memorial Health System of East Texas, headquartered in Lufkin, has named Gary Looper as the system's president and CEO, according to a health system release.
Mr. Looper will succeed current president and CEO Bryant Krenek and assume leadership on Oct. 1, as Mr. Krenek transitions into a consulting position for the hospital system. Mr. Looper has been acting as the system's vice president of operations for the last eight months. His appointment is part of a leadership succession plan that the hospital system has been working toward the last two years.
