Chris Mowan has been named president and CEO of Medical City Dallas Hospital, effective July 25.
Here are four things to know about Mr. Mowan.
1. For the past three years, he has served as CEO of MountainView Hospital, a teaching hospital in Las Vegas.
2. During his tenure at MountainView, Mr. Mowan oversaw a $90-million facility expansion, achieved unprecedented ER growth and launched graduate medical education programs, according to Medical City.
3. He has also served as North Texas division manager for Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America, COO of Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and as COO at Sunrise Medical Center and Children's Hospital in Las Vegas.
4. Mr. Mowan is a graduate of Indiana University and earned a master's degree in business administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
