Medical Center Health System appoints Rick Napper CEO

Odessa, Texas-based Medical Center Health System selected Rick Napper to serve as its new president and CEO, according to an Odessa American report.

Mr. Napper currently serves as president and CEO of St. Joseph Health System in Bryan, Texas. He will assume his new role in January 2018, following the retirement of current MCHS CEO William Webster.

Mr. Napper's previous experience includes serving as executive vice president and COO of Memorial Healthcare System in Chattanooga, Tenn., president and CEO of Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Miss., and CEO of Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Va. He earned his MBA degree at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The news of Mr. Napper's appointment comes just days after MCHS CFO Jon Riggs announced he is leaving his post for a new job opportunity in Colorado.
