Jennifer Montgomery, RN, has been appointed as McLaren Health Care's first senior vice president and chief nursing officer, effective June 1.
Ms. Montgomery will provide clinical and operational oversight of nursing care across the 14-hospital system, and report to Justin Klamerus, MD, McLaren's executive vice president and chief clinical officer. Ms. Montgomery has spent more than 16 years as a nurse leader and healthcare executive.
Most recently, she was the president and CEO of several McLaren subsidiary hospitals. McLaren is based in Grand Blanc, Mich., and operates in three states.
"Considering the geographical coverage of our organization and the range of services offered by our providers, creating a systemwide nursing leader to align McLaren bedside caregivers under a unified standard of care will provide measurable benefit to our patients' care and experience,"
Philip Incarnati, president and CEO of McLaren Health Care, said in a news release.
