UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas, appointed Mark Funderburk president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2018, according to a Lubbock Online report.
Here are three things to know:
1. Mr. Funderburk is currently administrator, executive vice president and COO at the health system.
2. He worked at the organization for 26 years, assuming the COO role in 2007.
3. He succeeds David Allison, who is retiring at the end of the year.
