LRGHealthcare names new CEO: 5 things to know

LRGHealthcare in Laconia, N.H., has named Kevin W. Donovan president and CEO.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Donovan.

1. He currently serves as president and CEO of Mount Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, Vt., a position he's held since 2010.

2. He also previously was senior vice president at Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System, director at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., and a hospital and physician practice leader in various organizations in Massachusetts.

3. Mr. Donovan will officially assume his new position at LRGHealthcare in mid-June.

4. In his new role, Mr. Donovan will take over for Robert Evans, MD, who served as interim president and CEO after former LRGHealthcare president and CEO Seth Warren resigned, citing personal reasons.

5. Mr. Donovan's appointment comes as LRGHealthcare has faced financial difficulties. In late March, LRGHealthcare said it would lay off approximately 58 employees. LRGHealthcare has also been working with consultant group Prism Healthcare Partners since the beginning of the year to review the organization's operations and processes for better cost efficiency.
