Dionne Viator is the new president and CEO of Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia, La., the Iberia Parish Hospital Service District No. 1 board of commissioners announced.
Ms. Viator has been the hospital's interim CEO since October. A certified public accountant, she also previously served as CFO of Iberia Medical Center.
At the hospital, she played a key role in leading financial improvement as well as renegotiating managed care contracts and negotiating an $11 million bond issuance.
Ms. Viator was executive vice president, CFO and treasurer of the Lafayette, La.-based LHC Group, a publicly traded healthcare provider, earlier in her career.
