LifePoint Health creates Chief Medical Informatics Officer position

Christopher Rehm, MD, has been named the first chief medical informatics officer for Brentwood, Tenn.-based system LifePoint Health. 

In this new role, Dr. Rehm will be responsible for leading the deployment and adoption of clinical applications and technology solutions to enhance the quality, safety and efficiency of the care provided to patients across LifePoint Health. He will work closely with both clinical leaders and vendor partners to ensure the needs of LifePoint patients, providers and staff are clearly articulated and incorporated into our strategic technology and informatics roadmap.

Along with Dr. Rehm’s appointment, LifePoint also announced that Pam Belcher will serve as senior vice president of human resources and talent management and Reggie Hill will serve as senior vice president and chief compliance and policy officer.

Prior to joining LifePoint Health, Dr. Rehm served as CMO and vice president of business development for Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based Aionex.. He has been vice president of medical informatics for LifePoint Health since 2013.
