Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, Minn., and Elbow Lake, Minn.-based Prairie Ridge Hospital and Health Services announced the addition of Lawrence Blue to its leadership team.
Here are six things to know about Mr. Blue.
1. He will take on the role of PRHHS CEO Nov. 16.
2. In announcing Mr. Blue's appointment, representatives from PRHHS and LRH touted Mr. Blue's experience. "Lawrence has a passion for rural healthcare and we believe his experience and relationship building skills will be a great asset for PRHHS," Shawn Larsen, board chairman at PRHHS, said in a news release. "He has the kind of experience and energy needed in rural healthcare systems today and we are pleased to have him joining our team," added Larry Schulz, LRH CEO. LRH and PRHHS integrated at the beginning of 2015.
3. Mr. Blue has more than 17 years of healthcare experience, most recently as CEO of Cavalier County Memorial Hospital in Langdon, N.D., where he has served since 2003.
4. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Health Administration, both from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
5. Mr. Blue sits on the North Region Healthcare Alliance Board of Directors and serves as board chairman.
6. He is an active member of the AmericanCollege of Healthcare Executives and is board-certified in healthcare management as a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
