Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky., appointed Robert Parker CEO, effective Aug. 27.
Here are five things to know:
1. Mr. Parker most recently served as market president of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health's Central Kentucky East market as well as CEO of Clark Regional Medical Center, which is a part of the market.
2. He has worked at LifePoint Health, Lake Cumberland Regional's parent, for nearly 15 years.
3. Earlier in his career, Mr. Parker served as market president for Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Ky., and Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, Ky., both LifePoint facilities, in addition to serving as CEO of Meadowview Regional.
4. He succeeds Elizabeth Jones, who has been serving as interim CEO in addition to her role as COO.
5. After the transition, Ms. Jones will continue as COO of the hospital.
