Lafayette (La.) General Medical Center announced leadership changes as part of the creation of an official health system, Lafayette General Health.
The health system was created after taking over management of University Hospital and Clinics, formerly University Medical Center, from Baton Rouge-based Louisiana State University Health Care Services Division in June.
Here are the leadership changes:
• David L. Callecod, formerly president and CEO of LGMC, is now president and CEO of Lafayette General Health.
• Patrick W. Gandy Jr., formerly COO of LGMC, is the new executive vice president and CEO of LGMC.
• Roger Mattke, formerly CFO of LGMC, is now senior vice president and CFO of LGH.
• Gordon Rountree, formerly general counsel and chief compliance officer of LGMC, is now senior vice president, general counsel and chief legal officer of LGH.
• Dean Ducote, formerly assistant vice president of support services of LGMC, is now vice president of operations and support services at LGH.
• Edwina Mallery, formerly assistant vice president of information systems at LGMC, is now vice president and CIO of LGH.
• Paul Molbert, formerly assistant vice president of network development at LGMC, is now vice president of network development and the accountable care organization at LGH.
• Carolyn Huval, formerly vice president of marketing and business development at LGMC, is now vice president of physician recruiting at LGH.
• Ziad Ashkar, MD, formerly CMO of LGMC, is now CMO of LGH.
• Amanda Logue, MD, formerly CMIO of LGMC, is now CMIO of LGH.
Jared Stark became CEO of University Hospital & Clinics June 24.
Many of the positions focus on both hospital- and system-wide initiatives, according to the news release.
