The MetroHealth System, based in Cleveland, has promoted Kate Brown to president of The MetroHealth Foundation and chief development officer of The MetroHealth System, according to a news release.
Here are three things to know about Ms. Brown.
1. She has served as vice president of the foundation since 2006. Under her leadership, the foundation last year brought in $13.6 million for the MetroHealth Transformation, the MetroHealth School Health Program and other philanthropic projects.
2. "Kate has distinguished herself in so many ways," Akram Boutros, president and CEO of The MetroHealth System and CEO of The MetroHealth Foundation, said in a prepared statement. "Her commitment to raising the funds MetroHealth needs for its transformation is at the top of the list. But so are her professionalism and the grace and ease she brings to every personal interaction."
3. Ms. Brown earned a bachelor's degree in international studies from Oxford, Ohio-based Miami University and a master's degree in public administration from Cleveland State University.
