Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente named Ann Williamson, PhD, RN, BSN, MSN, its regional chief nurse executive and vice president for Northern California.
Four notes:
1. Dr. Williamson brings four decades of nursing and healthcare operations leadership experience to Kaiser Permanente Northern California.
2. She previously served as chief clinical and nursing officer of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
3. Dr. Williamson has also held roles at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco and was CNO of Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
4. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her master's degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Doctor of Philosophy in nursing informatics and health systems from UCSF.
