Jefferson College of Population Health names first entrepreneur-in-residence

Philadelphia-based Jefferson College of Population Health has selected Don McDaniel to serve as its first entrepreneur-in-residence.

Mr. McDaniel is CEO of Canton & Company, a Baltimore-based healthcare growth and innovation firm.

As the inaugural entrepreneur-in-residence, Mr. McDaniel will work with the college's students to develop real-world applications and business opportunities for innovative ideas. He will also connect students and professors with external experts and investors.

"The entrepreneur-in-residence program will help to position our students and their ideas for success," said David B. Nash, MD, founding dean of the Jefferson College of Population Health. "It's consistent with our mission to develop leaders with a global vision, and it's an excellent complement to our educational programming."

The Jefferson College of Population Health, established in 2008, is part of Philadelphia-based Thomas Jefferson University.
