IU Health Tipton (Ind.) Hospital appointed Melissa Hicks, DNP, chief nursing officer.
Four points:
1. Dr. Hicks most recently served as interim CNO at the Tipton hospital.
2. She also served as director of nursing operations at IU Health Saxony Hospital in Fishers, Ind., while serving as interim CNO.
3. She holds a doctorate in nursing practice and nursing leadership from the University of Indianapolis.
4. Dr. Hicks succeeds JoEllen Scott, who retired in 2018.
