Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health's South Central Region President Matt Bailey left the role, effective immediately, according to a Herald Times Online report.
Here are six things to know:
1. Teri DeMatas, vice president of marketing and community relations, told the Herald Times Online Mr. Bailey stepping down is a "personnel matter," but he is "leaving the organization in good standing."
2. Mr. Bailey joined IU Health eight years ago.
3. He served as president of the South Central Region since November 2016.
4. During his tenure, he spearheaded the development of IU Health's new health campus, which is slated to open in 2020 in Indianapolis.
5. Brian Shockney, IU Health's COO, is stepping in as interim president of the market.
6. Mr. Bailey also offered Mr. Shockney help with the transition, despite his immediate departure.
